HIT’s Senior Program is designed to keep individuals active, engaged, and connected through a variety of meaningful and enjoyable activities each day.
Participants take part in a wide range of volunteer, recreational, and leisure opportunities that promote social connection, physical activity, and community involvement.
Some of the regular activities include:
Volunteering at local organizations. Examples include: Baptist Home, Dakota Zoo, and Community Action
Attending social and exercise events at the Mandan Senior Center and local YMCA and Aquatic Center
Coffee outings at local coffee shops
Seasonal gardening and caring for a small garden
Pet Therapy
Working on craft projects and enjoying a monthly potluck meal
Participating in classics like bingo and watching old TV favorites
The Senior Program offers a welcoming, choice-based environment where participants can enjoy their day, connect with peers, and stay actively involved in their community.
