Payroll
Employee paychecks are deposited into their personal bank account through direct deposit. Access to paystubs is available through Greenshades.
Holidays
HIT, Inc. grants holiday time off for all full-time employees on the holidays listed below:
New Year’s Day
Martin Luther King Day (3rd Monday in January)
President’s Day (3rd Monday in February)
Good Friday (Friday before Easter)
Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November)
Christmas (December 25)
A recognized holiday that falls on a Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday.
A recognized holiday that falls on a Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.
Paid Time Off
Full-time employees earn paid time off. Details will be discussed with each employee.
Bereavement Pay
Paid time off (up to 24 hours) due to death of immediate family member to allow employee time to attend funeral and make necessary arrangements.
Family Medical Leave
HIT, Inc. complies with the Famiy and Medical Leave Act of 1993. To be eligible the emplyee has to be employed for more than one year and have worked a minimum of 1,250 hours in the last 12 months. PTO must be used to cover the hours the employee misses for FML. If PTO runs out, leave will be unpaid but the employee will be able to keep their insurance benefits.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
Annual limit for 2019: $5,000 ($2,500 if married and filing separately)
Examples include:
Day camp, dependent care for you and your spouse to work or attend school full-time
Care for children under 13
Care for elderly dependents who reside with you
Nanny expenses, late pick-up fees

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Who qualifies: must be employed by HIT, Inc. for one year and not enrolled in the HIT, Inc. health plan.
Annual limit is $2,000
USE IT OR LOSE IT! FSA funds can only be used for expenses that are incurred during the plan year (January 2019 through December 2019)
Examples include:
Deductible, prescription drugs, office visits and urgent care copayments
Dental services and orthodontia
Vision expenses, including eyeglasses, eye examinations and contact lenses
Chiropractic services

Employee Assistance Program
All Hit, Inc. employees and their household members are eligible to use the EAP program through Village Family Services. Each employee is guaranteed a quantity of sessions equal to the number of household members times 4. No household will have less than 8 available sessions.
401K
HIT, Inc. offers a 401k retirement plan that matches up to 6% of an employee’s gross salary. This is available after an employee is 21 years of age, has worked for HIT for one year and works 1,000 hours. Employees receive the necessary paperwork to set up a 401k when eligibility has been met.
Employee may contribute up to 6% of gross wages
Employer will match the employee's contribution up to 6%

Tuition assistance for courses of study that relates to your position.
Life Insurance
HIT, Inc. sponsors a life insurance policy through Mutual of Omaha for all full-time employees. The amount of the policy depends on the employee’s current level of earning at the beginning of each year. The insurance is automatic for all full-time employees.
Full-time employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance for yourself, spouse and eligible dependents during open enrollment.
